Season one has a lot of advice and stories about money, but there are also a lot of recommendations. I do my best to list all the books, art supplies, and recourses that are mentioned on the podcast notes, but I want to make sure you had easy access to everything. In some upcoming posts I will be listing all the recommendations that have been talked about on Creative Money ATX. First let’s start with books.
I know we would all like to do the easy thing and buy these books with one click on Amazon, but let’s do better and support local book stores. I have linked all the books I can to BookPeople here in Austin and bellow I have listed some of the local books stores I go to frequently.
The Complete Smartist Guide by Alicia Puig and Ekaterina Popova
Entangled Life by Merlin Sheldrake
Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert
Barbara Kingsolver - Author
The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron
Struggle for Significance by John H. B.
Happy-Go-Lucky by David Sedaris
The Creative Act by Rick Rubin
Quietly Hostile by Samantha Isby

American Vision by Robert Hughes

Most of the books mentioned are art related, but others are books guests or I were reading at the time. You might remember that at the end of an episode I have rapid fire questions for my guests. The first one is, “What is on your bedside table right now?” A lot of the time people will start talking about the book they are reading. The list of reading recommendations is the shortest list. So keep an eye out for lists of artists, tools, and more.
